I reached out to Myself last week to find out a little bit more about him and what he thinks of Genius Crowds. This whole thing got started when he shared a 3D animation of the Genius Crowds logo. It caught my eye and I had to know more about this act of creativity. Here’s what I learned!
DB: What lead you to sign up for Genius Crowds? What has made you stay?
M: My passion is inventing and designing new products and so I’ve been always looking on the Internet for platforms which make it possible to show my ideas and maybe – sometime – make it possible to get these ideas on the shelves. As soon as I saw Genius Crowds, its concept and the panel team behind I was sure there are professionals working on it and that’s what I was aiming at.
What made me stay is pretty simple… the people here at Genius Crowds. It’s a wonderful community where everyone tries to help the other and as long as this spirit is kept this community will have a great future!
I honestly like constructive criticism as long as it is constructive… and because of that I also love to give some of my experience and know-how to others… it’s IMHO always some sort of fair giving and taking what makes Genius Crowds so special.
DB: What’s it like to be a Genius Crowds Ambassador?
M: For me it’s a lot of fun and it’s always very interesting to see different users, different styles and different thoughts coming together at one place to work together on so many awesome ideas. Being an ambassador also means to me to be in some way a sort of a “guide” and that’s what me and all other ambassadors want to be. I hope they agree I speak for them…
We want to be guides, want to help where help is needed and show other users how to act… so they can learn from us. Especially newbies (hey, even we have been newbies at the start!) have some diffidence and the more they see how experienced users act the easier they will get into it and understand how Genius Crowds can work.
You can’t imagine how helpful suggestions and ideas of other users can be… I’m speaking from my own experience.
DB: The animation! What inspired you to create that? Any plans to build on it? There’s a lot of support behind you for your efforts thus far.
M: First of all, thanks to all for the support I receive! As said before my primary passion is to invent new product ideas. To visualize them took me some time (very long
) to understand 3D software.
Today I’m far from being perfect in creating 3d images but I’m pretty happy about the results and I’m able to show my ideas clear and comprehensible.. at least I hope so
. I did some marginal animations before but when I was working again with my 3D software I was wondering if it was possible to animate the logo of Genius Crowds… just for learning experience.
It took me much longer than I expected but the result was pretty amazing (although some professional 3D animators will completely disagree). I know it’s a bit too fast and the sound’s overlapping so I decided to make the animation more smooth, to improve the sound and even to let the light at the end of the animation shine more like a star… to name just a few of the ideas I have in mind.
The reason why I published the animation was I wanted to learn for myself lol and even to see if this might be interesting for someone… I never thought this being so interesting but this encouraged me to work on.
Let me use this chance to thank everyone who supported me (some particular users know I’m talking about them
) and even the whole team at GC who always encouraged me to work on – I’m really grateful!
DB: It has been awesome learning more about you, Myself. I know all of us at Genius Crowds are thrilled to have you aboard. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
Congrats Myself!
From one Genius Crowds “tour guide” to another, you said it perfectly, Myself! It was great to learn a little bit more about you. Now, teach me how to use your 3D software. I’m sure it’ll only take 5 or 10 minutes, right?
Great interview!

Myself is a grate guy! What else can I say! He is very helpful and very nice! His work has inspired me to go back an relearn 3D Modeling. GC could not have a better representative then Myself!(not me)
Yes. Myself is a great guy, always willing to help! Nice interview!
Thanks to all of you for your very nice words … they really encourage me to “work” on like this (well, actually this is no “work”… it’s rather a peasure
).
I love to be here at GC and I’m proud to be part of this amazing community.
Many thanks to Derrick for this amazing blogpost!
Best to all of you and good luck for all of your upcoming ideas,
Myself
Thank you and great job
